Product Details
1.Introduction
Electrode paste, also known as self-baking electrode or Søderberg electrode, is an indispensable conductive material used in electric furnace equipment. It is made from high-quality calcined anthracite, petroleum coke, and graphite powder, with the addition of pitch, processed through mixing, kneading, and shaping at specific temperatures. Due to its excellent conductivity, higher oxidation resistance, and mechanical strength, as well as low thermal expansion coefficient, resistivity, and porosity, it effectively reduces energy loss during the smelting process, minimizes electrode oxidation, and increases smelting yield.
2.Applications
Electrode paste is used as a conductive material for electric furnace equipment such as ferroalloy furnaces and calcium carbide furnaces. Depending on different requirements, it is commonly divided into three shapes: spherical, trapezoidal, and cylindrical electrode paste.
